Fall 2012 Blumarine’s Playful Fashion – Blumarine showcased a collection of over the top glamor with colorful fur coats, wild animal prints and techno silver fabrics. Opening the show with sexy ski bunny coats, designer Anna Molinari at Blumarine, made sure the fall fashion shows season was a playful one by featuring oversize bags that looked like poms poms more than actual accessories. As the show progressed, some sparkle was added in the form of sequin embellished tops, pants and chunky jewelry. Always unapologetic with the amount of excess and glamor, Blumarine brought a sense of carefree style to the upcoming season fashion shows.

In fashion critiques are enhanced and so happens in fashion photography, this meaning that a photographer must pay a lot of attention when taking a photo of this kind, making sure it has beautiful colors, style and showcasing the beauty of a person or a piece of clothing. I like it how a lot of these photos have a conceptual feeling added to them, that takes the photos to a whole new level. Image of the Day: Andrej Pejic’s Dossier Cover Gets Censored by Barnes & Noble and Borders
Androgynous model Andrej Pejic is often mistaken for a girl, but this week Barnes & Noble and Borders went so far as to censor his topless Dossier cover like they would a nudie mag, reports Jezebel. Why? Because although the stores’ regulators understood that he was indeed a man, not a naked woman, they are concerned that some customers might be confused.
This sea of shit, my friends, is the reason why Carine Roitfeld will never be editor-in-chief of American Vogue. Click here for Pejic‘s full Dossier spread.

Thom Browne Discusses the Nuns, Priests, and Huge Eyelashes in His Debut Womenswear Show.
Thom Browne is known for his spectacular menswear shows, but last night he showed his debut womenswear collection in the New York Public Library, where security guards almost didn’t let guests in because the library was closed. “They’re not here to go to the library!” frustrated PR people told them. Really, books?! They were there for the fashion show, and what a show it truly was. Browne’s models walked in wearing twisted versions of nun’s habits, only to be disrobed by male model “priests” before walking around the room and taking their places, heads bowed, at long tables. The clothes, Browne explained, were the sort of thing he’d want to wear if he were a woman. Watch the video to see the show and hear more from the designer.
