Swanepoel was born in a tiny South African province and recently climbed all the way to the top of the fashion world. Her modeling career is a story of many successes and her sweet looks and figure make us want to see more from this bombshell. Candice Swanepoel is our Model of the Week.

At fifteen, South African beauty Candice Swanepoel, was scouted while shopping in a local flea market. Little did she know that this shopping spree back in 2003 would change Swanepoel’s ordinary life into a rollercoaster of catwalks, fashion magazine covers, ad campaigns and a lot of attention from the fashion industry. One year later, sixteen year old Swanepoel was earning approximately 5,000 Euros for a day’s work. Nowadays, she has become one of the world’s most successful models and was recently ranked in 10th place on Forbes’ list of highest paid models in the world, with earnings of about 3.1 million dollars.

Candice Swanepoel’s debut was at the 2006 Tommy Hilfiger Spring Fashion Show in New York. That same season Swanepoel walked for Dolce & Gabbana during Milan Fashion Week. Swanepoel left a lasting impression and during the Fall of 2006, she walked for some of the best brands such as Betsey Johnson, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Heatherette and more. Spring of 2007 was a great season for Swanepoel once again. She walked for Diane von Furstenberg, Trace Reese, Rock & Republic and Nanette Lepore during New York Fashion Week. Since 2007, Candice Swanepoel continues to shine on the catwalk of the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows. She has strutted her sexiness on the catwalk five years in a row (2007 – 2011), and in 2010 was officially announced as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
